How long does it take?
About a minute for each preview. Printed portraits are checked by hand, printed in 2 to 5 business days and shipped free with tracking.
Will it really look like him?
It is made from his photo, and you see the preview before you buy anything. If it is not him yet, try again or try another photo. A clear, straight-on photo gives the best likeness.
How many previews can I make?
Two to start, free and without signing up. A free account adds four more, and you get extra previews each time you add a portrait to your cart.
What happens to my photo?
It is used only to make your portrait and is deleted after 30 days. Please upload only photos of adults who agreed to it.
Can a person help me?
Yes. Write to info@hystoriqportraits.com and a real person answers. Every print is also checked by hand before it is printed.
Before it goes to print
Will the watermark be on my print?
No. The "Hystoriq Portraits preview" lettering is only on the preview you see here. Your print and your digital file are clean.
Will it be sharp at the size I pick?
Yes. We prepare the file at full print resolution for the size you choose, a person checks it by hand, and it is printed exactly as you see it in the preview.
Will any of the picture be cut off?
8 × 10 and 16 × 20 show the portrait whole. 11 × 14 and 18 × 24 trim a thin strip from each side (about 1% and 3%). The face and the costume always stay whole.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Enter his address at checkout and we ship it straight to him.
When will it arrive?
Every portrait is checked by hand, usually within 2 business days, then printed in 2 to 5 business days and shipped free with tracking. Delivery usually takes 2 to 6 business days to Ireland, the US, Canada and Australia, and 5 to 20 business days elsewhere. The tracking link arrives by email.
What if it arrives damaged?
Write to us at info@hystoriqportraits.com within 30 days of delivery (a photo of the damage helps) and we reprint it free of charge. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge until it goes to print: email us as soon as possible. Each portrait is printed just for you, so once it is printed it cannot be cancelled or refunded for a change of mind. That is why you see the exact preview before you pay: what you approve is what we print.
